성경말씀: 로마서 12:1-2

1 그러므로 성도 여러분, 나는 하나님의 자비로써 여러분에게 권합니다. 여러분의 몸을 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 거룩한 살아 있는 제물로 드리십시오. 이것이야말로 여러분이 마땅히 드려야 할 영적인 예배입니다. 2 여러분은 이 세상을 본받지 말고, 마음을 새롭게 하여 변화를 받으십시오. 그러면 여러분은 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지를 분별할 수 있게 될 것입니다. (쉬운성경)

1 And so, dear brothers and sisters①, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice - the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. ① / ①Or This is your spiritual worship; or This is your reasonable service 2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (New Living Translation)

성경말씀: 마태복음 25:14-19, 24-30

14 “하늘 나라는 여행을 떠날 때, 종들을 불러서 자기 재산을 맡긴 사람과 같다. 15 주인은 종들의 능력에 따라, 어떤 사람은 다섯 달란트를, 어떤 사람에게는 두 달란트를, 또 어떤 사람에게는 한 달란트를 맡기고 여행을 떠났다. 16 다섯 달란트를 받은 종은 얼른 가서, 그것으로 장사를 하였다. 그래서 다섯 달란트를 더 벌었다. 17 마찬가지로 두 달란트를 받은 종도 두 달란트를 더 벌었다. 18 그러나 한 달란트를 받은 종은 나가서 땅을 파고 그 곳에 주인의 은 돈을 숨겼다. 19 세월이 오래 지난 뒤에, 종들의 주인이 집에 돌아와서 종들과 셈을 하였다..... 24 그리고 한 달란트를 받았던 종이 주인에게 와서 말했다. ‘주인님, 저는 주인님이 심지 않은 데서 거두고, 씨 뿌리지 않은 데서 거두는 완고한 분이라 생각했습니다. 25 그래서 두려운 마음으로 밖에 나가 돈을 땅에 숨겼습니다. 이제 주인님이 제게 주신 돈을 도로 받으십시오.’ 26 주인이 대답했다. ‘이 악하고 게으른 종아! 너는 내가 심지도 않은 데서 거두어 들이고, 씨 뿌리지 않은 곳에서 거두어 들인다고 생각했느냐? 27 그렇다면 너는 내 돈을 은행에 넣어 두었어야 했다. 그러면 내가 다시 돌아왔을 때 이자와 함께 내 돈을 돌려받았을 것이다. 28 저 종에게서 돈을 빼앗아 열 달란트 가진 종에게 주어라.’ 29 가진 사람은 더 많이 받아 풍성하게 될 것이고, 없는 사람은 있는 것마저 빼앗길 것이다. 30 ‘저 쓸모없는 종을 바깥 어두운 곳에 던져라. 거기서 슬피 울고, 고통스럽게 이를 갈 것이다.’”

14 "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone. 15 He gave five bags of silver to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last?dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then left on his trip. 16 "The servant who received the five bags of silver began to invest the money and earned five more. 17 The servant with two bags of silver also went to work and earned two more. 18 But the servant who received the one bag of silver dug a hole in the ground and hid the master's money. 19 "After a long time their master returned from his trip and called them to give an account of how they had used his money.........24 "Then the servant with the one bag of silver came and said, `Master, I knew you were a harsh man, harvesting crops you didn't plant and gathering crops you didn't cultivate. 25 I was afraid I would lose your money, so I hid it in the earth. Look, here is your money back.' 26 "But the master replied, `You wicked and lazy servant! If you knew I harvested crops I didn't plant and gathered crops I didn't cultivate, 27 why didn't you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.' 28 "Then he ordered, `Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one with the ten bags of silver. (New Living Translation)

성경말씀: 누가복음 2:8-20

8 그 근처 들판에서 목자들이 밤에 양 떼를 지키고 있었습니다. 9 주님의 천사가 갑자기 이들 앞에 나타났습니다. 주님의 영광이 그들을 둘러 비추자, 이들은 몹시 두려워하였습니다. 10 천사가 그들에게 말했습니다. “두려워 마라. 보아라. 모든 백성을 위한 큰 기쁨의 소식을 가지고 왔다. 11 오늘 다윗의 마을에 너희를 위하여 구세주께서 태어나셨다. 그는 곧 그리스도 주님이시다. 12 포대기에 싸여 구유에 누워 있는 아기를 볼 것인데, 이것이 너희에게 주는 증거이다.” 13 갑자기 그 천사와 함께 많은 하늘 군대가 나타나 하나님을 찬양하였습니다. 14 “높은 곳에서는 하나님께 영광, 땅에서는 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 사람들에게 평화.” 15 천사들이 목자들에게서 떠나 하늘로 사라지자, 목자들이 서로 말했습니다. “베들레헴으로 어서 가서 주께서 우리에게 알려 주신 일이 일어났는지 확인합시다.” 16 이들은 서둘러 가서 마리아와 요셉, 그리고 구유에 누인 아기를 보았습니다. 17 목자들이 확인하고 이 아이에 대하여 자기들이 들은 것을 그들에게 이야기해 주었습니다. 18 목자들의 말을 듣고 사람들은 모두 놀랐습니다. 19 그러나 마리아는 이 모든 말을 마음 속에 소중히 간직하였습니다. 20 목자들은 돌아가면서 천사들이 일러준 대로 자기들이 듣고 보았으므로 하나님께 영광을 돌리고 찬양을 드렸습니다. 8 And in the same region there were [some] shepherds staying out in the fields, and keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. 10 And the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people; 11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 "And this [will be] a sign for you： you will find a baby wrapped in cloths, and lying in a manger." 13 And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased." 15 And it came about when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds [began] saying to one another, "Let us go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us." 16 And they came in haste and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger. 17 And when they had seen this, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child. 18 And all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them. 성경말씀: 이사야 9:1-7

1 고통의 땅에 그늘이 걷힐 것이다. 옛날에는 여호와께서 스불론 땅과 납달리 땅으로 하여금 부끄러움을 당하게 하셨다. 하지만 앞으로는 지중해로 나가는 길과 요단강 건너편, 그리고 북쪽으로는 이스라엘 백성이 아닌 외국인이 살고 있는 갈릴리까지, 이 모든 지역을 영광스럽게 하실 것이다. 2 어둠 속에 살던 백성이 큰 빛을 보고, 짙은 그늘의 땅에 살던 백성에게 환한 빛이 비췰 것이다. 3 “하나님, 주께서 그 민족을 크게 하시고, 그 백성을 행복하게 하십니다. 추수할 때에 사람들이 기뻐하듯이, 그들이 주님 앞에서 즐거워합니다. 전쟁에서 빼앗은 물건을 나누는 백성처럼 기뻐합니다.” 4 주께서 미디안을 물리치시던 때처럼 그들이 진 무거운 멍에를 내려 주시고, 그들의 어깨를 짓누르던 무거운 막대기를 벗겨 주시며, 주의 백성을 치던 몽둥이를 없애 주실 것이다. 5 군인들이 요란스런 소리를 내며 신고 다니던 군화와 피로 얼룩진 군복이 모두 땔감이 되어 불에 사라질 것이다. 6 왜냐하면 우리에게 한 아기가 태어날 것이기 때문이다. 하나님께서 우리에게 아들을 주실 것이다. 그의 어깨 위에 왕권이 주어질 것이다. 그의 이름은 기묘자, 모사, 전능하신 하나님, 영원히 살아 계신 아버지, 평화의 왕이시다. 7 그의 왕권은 점점 커지겠고, 평화가 그의 나라에서 영원히 이어진다. 그가 다윗의 보좌와 다윗의 나라에서 다스릴 것이다. 그가 정의와 공평으로, 이제부터 영원토록 그 나라를 견고하게 세울 것이다. 만군의 여호와께서 이 일을 이루실 것이다. 왜냐하면 주께서 자기 백성을 뜨겁게 사랑하시기 때문이다. 1 Nevertheless, that time of darkness and despair will not go on forever. The land of Zebulun and Naphtali will be humbled, but there will be a time in the future when Galilee of the Gentiles, which lies along the road that runs between the Jordan and the sea, will be filled with glory. 2 The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine. 3 You will enlarge the nation of Israel, and its people will rejoice. They will rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest and like warriors dividing the plunder. 4 For you will break the yoke of their slavery and lift the heavy burden from their shoulders. You will break the oppressor’s rod, just as you did when you destroyed the army of Midian. 5 The boots of the warrior and the uniforms bloodstained by war will all be burned. They will be fuel for the fire. 6 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called. Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen! 성경말씀: 시편 119:33-48

33 여호와여, 나를 가르치시고 주의 법령들을 따르게 해 주소서. 그러면 내가 끝까지 그것들을 지킬 것입니다. 34 나에게 깨달음을 주소서. 내가 주의 법을 지킬 것입니다. 내가 마음을 다하여 주의 법에 순종할 것입니다. 35 내가 주께서 명령하신 길로 가기를 원합니다. 이는 내가 그 길에서 기쁨을 발견하기 때문입니다. 36 나의 마음이 주의 법규들로 향하게 하시고, 이기적인 이익들로 향하지 않게 해 주소서. 37 내가 무가치한 것들에게서 눈을 떼게 해 주시고, 주의 말씀으로 나를 보호해 주소서. 38 주의 종에게 주의 약속을 이루어 주소서. 내가 주를 존경하겠습니다. 39 나는 수치를 두려워하오니 나에게서 수치를 제거해 주소서. 주의 법은 선하고 완전합니다. 40 나는 주의 교훈들을 너무도 갈망합니다 주의 의로움으로 나의 영혼을 새롭게 하소서.

33 [He] Teach me your decrees, O Lord; I will keep them to the end. 34 Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into practice with all my heart. 35 Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found. 36 Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money! 37 Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word①. / ①Some manuscripts read in your ways 38 Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you. 39 Help me abandon my shameful ways; for your regulations are good. 40 I long to obey your commandments! 41 [Waw] Lord, give me your unfailing love, the salvation that you promised me. 42 Then I can answer those who taunt me, for I trust in your word. 43 Do not snatch your word of truth from me, for your regulations are my only hope. 44 I will keep on obeying your instructions forever and ever. 45 I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments. 46 I will speak to kings about your laws, and I will not be ashamed. 47 How I delight in your commands!
