성경말씀: 베드로전서 3:1-7

1 이와 같이 아내들은 남편에게 순종하십시오. 그러면 하나님을 멀리하고 그 말씀에 귀를 기울이지 않던 남편들도 아내의 순종하는 모습에 의해 하나님을 믿게 될 것입니다. 억지로 설득하려는 백 마디 말보다 온전한 행동이 남편을 감동시킬 것입니다.

2 남편들은 여러분이 하나님을 경외하며 깨끗하게 살아가는 것을 지켜 보고 있습니다.

3 화려한 옷이나 보석을 걸치거나, 머리 치장을 한다고 여러분이 아름답게 보이는 것은 아닙니다.

4 진정한 아름다움은 내면의 아름다움에서 나오는 것입니다. 온유하고 정숙한 마음을 가진 사람이 정말 아름다운 사람입니다. 이러한 아름다움은 없어지지 않으며, 하나님께서도 귀하게 보시는 것입니다.

5 전에 하나님을 경외하며 순종했던 믿음의 여인들이 이러했습니다. 그들은 외모보다 내면을 아름답게 꾸몄고, 남편의 권위에 순종하였습니다.

6 아브라함의 아내 사라는 남편을 주인이라 부르며 복종했습니다. 여러분도 바르게 행동하고 두려워할 것이 없으면, 사라처럼 아름다운 그녀의 후손이 될 것입니다.

7 마찬가지로 남편들도 아내를 잘 이해하고 돌보아 주며 살아가십시오. 아내를 존중해 주시기 바랍니다. 아내는 남편인 여러분보다 더 연약합니다. 그러나 하나님께서는 여러분에게 주시는 것과 똑같은 은혜인 참 생명을 아내들에게도 주셨습니다. 아내를 소중히 대함으로써 여러분의 기도가 막히지 않도록 하십시오. (쉬운성경)

1 In the same way, you wives must accept the authority of your husbands. Then, even if some refuse to obey the Good News, your godly lives will speak to them without any words. They will be won over

2 by observing your pure and reverent lives.

3 Don't be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes.

4 You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.

5 This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They trusted God and accepted the authority of their husbands.

6 For instance, Sarah obeyed her husband, Abraham, and called him her master. You are her daughters when you do what is right without fear of what your husbands might do.

7 In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God's gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered. (New Living Translation)

성경말씀: 마태복음 6:25-34

25 그러므로, 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 목숨을 위하여 무엇을 먹을까, 무엇을 마실까, 몸을 위하여 무엇을 입을까, 염려하지 말라. 목숨이 음식보다 중하지 아니하며, 몸이 의복보다 중하지 아니하냐? 
26 공중의 새를 보라. 심지도 않고, 거두지도 않고, 창고에 모아들이지도 아니하되, 너희 하늘 아버지께서 기르시나니, 너희는 이것들보다 귀하지 아니하냐? 
27 너희 중에 누가 염려함으로 그 키를 한 자라도 더할 수 있겠느냐? 
28 또 너희가 어찌 의복을 위하여 염려하느냐? 들의 백합화가 어떻게 자라는가 생각하여 보라. 수고도 아니하고 길쌈도 아니하느니라. 
29 그러나 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 솔로몬의 모든 영광으로도 입은 것이 이 꽃 하나만 같지 못하였느니라. 
30 오늘 있다가 내일 아궁이에 던져지는 들풀도 하나님이 이렇게 입히시거든, 하물며 너희일까보냐! 믿음이 작은 자들아, 
31 그러므로 염려하여 이르기를, 무엇을 먹을까, 무엇을 마실까, 무엇을 입을까 하지 말라. 
32 이는 다 이방인들이 구하는 것이라. 너희 하늘 아버지께서 이 모든 것이 너희에게 있어야 할 줄을 아시느니라. 
33 그런즉, 너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라. 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더하시리라. 
34 그러므로, 내일 일을 위하여 염려하지 말라. 내일 일은 내일이 염려할 것이요, 한 날의 괴로움은 그 날로 족하니라. (개역개정 성경)
 
25 "That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life - whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn't life more than food, and your body more than clothing?
26 Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to him than they are?
27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?
28 "And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing,
29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.
30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?
31 "So don't worry about these things, saying, `What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?'
32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.
33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
34 "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today.

성경말씀: 고린도후서 3:6-18

6 하나님께서는 우리에게 문자가 아니라 성령의 언약인 새 언약의 일꾼에 합당한 자격을 주셨습니다. 그것은 문자는 죽음을 가져오는 반면, 성령께서는 생명을 주기 때문입니다.
7 돌판에 새겨져 있는, 죽음에 이르게 하는 율법에 의한 직분도 영광스럽습니다. 그래서 비록 사라질 영광의 광채이기는 하지만, 이스라엘 자손들은 모세의 얼굴에 나타난 광채 때문에 그의 얼굴을 똑바로 쳐다보지 못했습니다.
8 그러니 성령의 사역은 얼마나 더 영광스럽겠습니까?
9 사람들에게 죄가 있다고 판정하는 사역도 영광스러운데, 의를 가져다 주는 사역은 얼마나 더 영광스럽겠습니까?
10 이런 면에서 훨씬 더 빛나는 영광과 비교해 볼 때 이전에 영광스러웠던 것은 전혀 영광스러운 것이 아니었습니다.
11 사라져 버릴 것도 영광스럽다면, 영원히 지속될 것은 더욱 영광스러울 것입니다.
12 이러한 소망이 우리에게 있기에 우리는 매우 담대합니다.
13 우리는, 이스라엘 자손이 자기 얼굴의 광채가 사라져 가는 것을 똑바로 쳐다보지 못하게 하려고 자기 얼굴에 수건을 덮은 모세처럼 하지 않습니다.
14 그러나 이스라엘 자손들의 마음이 둔해진 까닭에 오늘날까지도 옛 언약을 읽을 때 수건을 그대로 쓰고 있습니다. 이 수건이 아직까지 벗겨지지 않고 있는 것은, 이것이 오직 그리스도 안에서만 벗겨질 수 있기 때문입니다.
15 오늘날까지도 이스라엘 자손들이 모세의 글을 읽을 때, 그들의 마음에는 수건이 덮여 있습니다.
16 그러나 누구든지 주님께 돌아올 때, 그 수건은 벗겨질 것입니다.
17 주님은 성령이십니다. 주님의 성령께서 계신 곳에는 자유가 있습니다.
18 우리는 모두 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 주님의 영광을 봅니다. 이렇게 해서 우리는 주님의 형상으로 변화하여 점점 더 큰 영광에 이릅니다. 그 영광은 성령이신 주님께로부터 나오는 것입니다.

6 He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.
7 The old way, with laws etched in stone, led to death, though it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses’ face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away.
8 Shouldn’t we expect far greater glory under the new way, now that the Holy Spirit is giving life?
9 If the old way, which brings condemnation, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new way, which makes us right with God!
10 In fact, that first glory was not glorious at all compared with the overwhelming glory of the new way.
11 So if the old way, which has been replaced, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new, which remains forever!
12 Since this new way gives us such confidence, we can be very bold.
13 We are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so the people of Israel would not see the glory, even though it was destined to fade away.
14 But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ.
15 Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand.
16 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord-who is the Spirit-makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

성경말씀: 누가복음 24:13-27

13 그런데 그 날 제자들 중에 두 사람이 예루살렘에서 약 11킬로미터 정도 떨어진 엠마오라고 하는 마을로 내려가고 있었습니다.
14 이들은 일어났던 모든 일에 대해 이야기를 나누고 있었습니다.
15 이들이 이야기를 나누며 토론하고 있을 때, 예수님께서 그들에게 다가오셔서 함께 걸으셨습니다.
16 그러나 그들은 눈이 가리워져서 예수님인지 알지 못했습니다.
17 예수님께서 그들에게 물으셨습니다. “당신들이 걸어가면서 서로 주고받는 이야기가 무엇입니까?” 두 사람은 슬픈 기색을 하고 멈춰 섰습니다.
18 그 가운데 글로바라는 사람이 예수님께 대답했습니다. “당신은 예루살렘에 다녀오면서 최근에 무슨 일이 일어났는지 모른단 말이오?”
19 예수님께서 그들에게 물으셨습니다. “무슨 일입니까?” 제자들이 말했습니다. “나사렛 예수님에 관한 일인데, 그분은 하나님과 백성 앞에서 행동과 말씀에 능력이 있는 예언자이셨습니다.
20 그런데 대제사장들과 우리 지도자들이 그분을 죽게 넘겨 주어 십자가에 못박았습니다.
21 우리는 이스라엘을 구원할 분이 바로 그분이라고 기대했습니다. 뿐만 아니라 이 일이 일어난 지가 삼 일째입니다.
22 우리 중에 어떤 여자들이 우리를 놀라게 했습니다. 그들이 아침 일찍 무덤으로 갔지만
23 예수님의 시신을 보지 못하고 돌아와, 예수님께서 살아나셨다고 말하는 천사를 보았다고 했습니다.
24 우리와 함께 있던 사람들 중에 어떤 사람들이 무덤으로 달려갔는데, 그 여자들이 말한 대로였고, 예수님을 볼 수 없었다는 것입니다.”
25 그러자 예수님은 그들에게 말씀하셨습니다. “너희는 어리석고, 예언자들이 말한 것을 더디 믿는구나.
26 그리스도가 이 모든 고난을 받고 그의 영광에 들어가야 할 것이 아니겠느냐?”
27 예수님께서 모세로부터 시작하여 모든 예언자를 들어 예수님에 관한 성경 말씀을 제자들에게 설명해 주셨습니다.

13 That same day two of Jesus' followers were walking to the village of Emmaus, seven miles① from Jerusalem. / ①Greek 60 stadia [11.1 kilometers]
14 As they walked along they were talking about everything that had happened.
15 As they talked and discussed these things, Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them.
16 But God kept them from recognizing him.
17 He asked them, "What are you discussing so intently as you walk along?" They stopped short, sadness written across their faces.
18 Then one of them, Cleopas, replied, "You must be the only person in Jerusalem who hasn't heard about all the things that have happened there the last few days."
19 "What things?" Jesus asked. "The things that happened to Jesus, the man from Nazareth," they said. "He was a prophet who did powerful miracles, and he was a mighty teacher in the eyes of God and all the people.
20 But our leading priests and other religious leaders handed him over to be condemned to death, and they crucified him.
21 We had hoped he was the Messiah who had come to rescue Israel. This all happened three days ago.
22 "Then some women from our group of his followers were at his tomb early this morning, and they came back with an amazing report.
23 They said his body was missing, and they had seen angels who told them Jesus is alive!
24 Some of our men ran out to see, and sure enough, his body was gone, just as the women had said."
25 Then Jesus said to them, "You foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures.
26 Wasn't it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?"
27 Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

성경말씀: 마태복음 5:13-16

13 “너희는 세상의 소금이다. 만일 소금이 그 맛을 잃으면, 다시 짠맛을 가질 수 있겠느냐? 아무 쓸모가 없게 되어 밖에 버려져 사람들에게 밟힐 뿐이다.
14 너희는 세상의 빛이다. 산 위에 있는 도시는 숨겨질 수 없다.
15 등불을 됫박 안에 두지 않고 등잔대 위에 놓는다. 그래야 등불이 그 집에 있는 모든 사람에게 빛을 비추게 될 것이다.
16 이와 같이 너희 빛을 사람들에게 비춰라. 그래서 사람들이 너희의 선한 행동을 보고 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하여라.”

13 "You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
14 "You are the light of the world - like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
